Not only does this project see our first ever Central outdoor benches and tables fabricated and installed successfully, but also the first project we’ve completed using recycled plastic slats in place of our typical hardwood.

Recycled plastic street furniture has a reputation for appearing and feeling cheap, warping and in extreme case, delaminating. We worked closely with a new supplier to source premium materials made from a carefully curated mix of high-quality recycled polymers. Our specified sections were extruded just for us and feature a natural timber colouring with subtle and realistic wood grain effect. Only time will tell but even during assembly we could see and feel the difference in quality, and believe we’re onto a winner!

We couldn’t be happier with our economical Central steel leg. The overall appearance is a familiar one in our industry we’ll admit, but we redesigned it from the ground up, optimising material specification and design subtleties that improve the fabrication process, strength-to-weight ratio, final assembly and longevity of the product on site.
